Howdy!

I'm Divya: a writer, filmmaker and graphic designer.

As a film critic, I’ve been published in Ampersand LA, Periphery Magazine, and Keke Magazine. I’m also currently pursuing a master’s degree in journalism. I love all film and television, but am especially drawn to network TV and movies made by independent filmmakers.

As a filmmaker, I’m primarily a writer, producer, and occasional script supervisor. I co-founded Boxer & Baker Productions in 2024, which is a film outfit dedicated to supporting underrepresented artists and undertold stories. For my own work, I’m drawn most to the unconventional and the unassuming, to the kinds of stories that inexplicably wheedle their way into your heart or brain.

All to say: I love to write, and have too many thoughts about film, television and the entertainment industry. No matter what medium I’m working in, I aim to depict people and ideas with as much life and truth as possible.
